Pandemic Fatigue 2022

Pandemic Fatigue 2022

Well, Covid -19 is almost a thing of the past thank god. Unfortunately Pandemic Fatigue has caught up with most of us in one way or another. Stress , mental limits reached , new rules to be followed , uncertain future job opportunities all bring a sense of despair. These things make a dangerous combination which turns fatigue to maladaptive behavior. Government surveys show Covid has directly affected 45 % peoples lives and their mental state. Media hysteria and physical restrictions weighed in on us everyday. It’s time to look forward to a new future and well being.

Let’s get started on turning this disorder around. First Congratulate yourself from beating Covid 19 and its derivatives with a negative test result and healthy immune system. Yes , 99% percent of the population actually beats Covid , but the fatigue it brings with it is another matter. You are winning the battle on one front . Use this positive affirmation to reinforce your mental state. The world may not look of feel the same when everything is back to normal . There will be a “new normal”. Change is good and humans are very adaptable . Our will to survive is incredible .

Create that Schedule

We need to maintain momentum and creating a schedule showing growth is a great example . Start small and build up. Simple breathing exercises , meditation and yoga reduce anxiety and become balanced . Calm is good. Move to taking walks , longer each time . Take time to explore new neighbourhoods besides your own bubble. Now include a walking partner in your routine . Your schedule should include rest and a balanced diet to recharge each time.

Widen your outlook by taking up a hobby , do your own taxes this year since you may be working from home . Make date night a part of your new beginning. Nothing spices up life more . Be an example for others , The Trendsetter . Show people your To Do list and how you are working through it , you may even get some outside help .

Reduce your social media “Doomscrolling” or purposely tuning into negative stories , there is nothing to gain there. Find some good music to download . Call others to find enjoyable movies online in the evenings. Make each day fulfilling and complete. Be grateful for what you have. Your wellness is #1 .
